Matthew Knabe, MA, LPC

Director of Operations

Matthew Knabe, MA, LPC is a licensed mental health therapist, professional musician, and host of the Experience Emerge (ExEm) Podcast. He currently serves as the Director of Operations for Emerge Counseling Ministries, an organization that has been providing support to denominations, churches, pastors, and individuals in need for 50 years.

Matthew is an active member of The Western Reserve Young Life Committee and is a leader in several community outreach ministries, alongside his wife Amy. He also serves as a member of the worship team at his home church.

Matthew’s love for music is evident in his impressive background, having toured with the Christian band Sonicflood as a guitar player. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest artists and bands in the world, writing and performing songs.

Alongside his music career, Matthew has been a public speaker for several years, covering topics such as transformation, burnout, depression, anxiety, and many other clinical and spiritual-oriented themes. He holds a Clinical Counseling and Mental Health Master’s Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary.
