Matthew Knabe, MA, LPCC is a licensed professional clinical counselor, former professional musician, and host of the Experience Emerge (ExEm) Podcast. He currently serves as the Director of Operations at Emerge Counseling Ministries. He holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling and Mental Health from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Matthew is an elder at his church and sits on the board of Cornerstone Community School. He and his wife, Amy, volunteer on the Western Reserve Young Life Committee. Together with his wife, they actively oversee various community outreach ministries. Additionally, he serves on the worship team at his home church.

Matthew’s deep passion for music is evident in his extensive experience and career in the music industry for over 15 years. In the early 2000s, he had the opportunity to tour as a guitarist with the Christian band Sonicflood. He has collaborated and toured with some of the most renowned artists and bands worldwide, contributing to songwriting and live performances.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Matthew has served as a public speaker for several years, focusing on topics such as transformation, burnout, depression, anxiety, and various other clinically and spiritually oriented themes.
