Employee Feedback Survey

As a reminder, below is a link to the Employee Feedback Survey. If you have not yet done so, please complete this by the end of Tuesday, September 17 before the survey closes.

The survey is short and includes both quantitative items and some open-ended questions. This tool is anonymous and is being sent out periodically to provide Emerge employees with an opportunity to share more about their experience in working at Emerge. We will be taking a close look at the results and will follow up with you soon on it.

Prayer Requests

Please keep Matthew Knabe’s mother-in-law, Brenda Kaufman, in your prayers

She was diagnosed with ALS in December and recently had a fall, breaking her hip. Brenda needed emergency surgery to have a screw put in. She has been through a lot with ALS and will be in a recovery program for a while. Let’s pray for her, Matt’s wife Amy, and their entire family as they navigate these difficult times with Brenda’s health.

Continue to pray for AG Ohio Leader & Emerge Board Member, John Wootton

We are grateful for the faithful support and partnership that John and the Ohio Ministry Team have provided Emerge. Pastor John Wootton, the District Leader for the Ohio Assemblies of God Churches, has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Clinical Update

Dr. Dave Blankenship

Thank You, Patrick Milloy & Congratulations, Shanon Miller

Patrick Milloy has been faithfully serving as the Internship Coordinator supervising our clinical interns for the past couple of years and is going to transition out of that role and focus more on clinical work. Patrick received such high remarks from the interns under his supervision, some of which have been hired as current clinicians. I am very thankful for him stepping into the role when I initially approached him about the opportunity and have seen him make such a positive impact on training the next generation of clinicians.

Therefore, I wanted to announce that starting around the beginning of 2025,  Shanon Miller will be stepping into the role as the Internship Coordinator and taking over clinical supervision for our interns.  I look forward to seeing how the Lord will use Shanon in shaping our interns.

Please join me in congratulating Shanon!

Friendly Reminder: Emerge Dress Code Policy

At Emerge, we represent a ministry which consistently strives to reflect Christ and a high level of professional competence to both the Christian and secular communities. One of the ways we can accomplish this is to dress and groom ourselves modestly in accordance with accepted Christian professional and business standards. All of us are at times in contact with clients or visitors in person.

Emerge expects its employees to dress, at a minimum, in generally accepted “business casual” attire. Body tattoos or piercings that are considered unprofessional or distracting will need to be covered up or removed. Any violations of this policy will be addressed by the DCS.

Operations Update

Matt Knabe

Congratulations to Jenn Joseph and Meredith Anderson for helping us continue to reach our goal (Scott and I have caught up to you)!

Purpose of this Report

The collective organization is analyzed to determine averages, trends, and overall company risk to evaluate if you’re on track with your ongoing cybersecurity training program and if not, how your organization can improve. This report will help you understand where your employees are excelling and where they are struggling to apply proper education in the weak areas.

What is an ESS?

The Employee Secure Score (ESS) metric is designed to determine cybersecurity risks on an individual employee level to quickly identify high-risk threats and track program improvement at a glance. The ESS calculation will factor in the employee’s training scores and participation, phishing fail rate and external data breaches associated with their email address. The higher an ESS, the lower security risk that employee is, while a low ESS indicates an employee who is a high security risk to the organization.

How to Improve Your Company Overall ESS

To increase the Overall Company Employee Secure Score, a collective effort must be made by all employees to raise their individual scores. Annual training should be completed, Micro-Trainings should be attempted by all employees, and Phishing simulations should continue.
